Sims 4 Keeps Crashing on Startup

I looked for a while but couldn't find my specific issue, I'm sorry if there is already a thread though.

Anyway, for a few months now, I've been having this issue. When I launch the game, it all seems fine. I see all the logos, including the Sims logo, but as soon as the spinning plumbob comes, the game just quits. I do play with mods, but I tried removing the folder and that didn't do anything. I also tried repairing the game, deleting the localthumbcache, disabling Origin in-game, restarting Origin, restarting my computer, and nothing works.

The only thing I've found that works is removing the entire game folder and then launching so the game creates a new one. It's only temporary, though. Basically, when I first launch the game after removing the game folder, it works. Then I'll exit the game, add back my saves, tray, and mods, relaunch, and it still works, so I continue to play like normal. But the next time I go to play, it crashes just like before.

I really have no idea what to do from here. I've just been constantly removing the game folder and doing this method, but it takes so long and it's tedious and it's never permanent. I really hope there's a solution.

Admin, I'm pretty sure. I'm the only account besides the standard guest account.

Tried installing the update but it turns out I have to install all the previous ones one by one 😞 so I'll do all that and then test the game again. Thank you so much!

Darn. I got the software update installed fine but the game problem won't go away. I guess my computer is pretty old now, on top of being a laptop, so maybe it's just my system not being able to handle it anymore? Idk.

*Facepalms* Thank you!! I guess my computer can't handle mods anymore. I triple-checked to make sure I removed everything and we seem to be working again. Thank you so much ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
