Hi @puzzlezaddict,
Thanks for the reply. I currently have about 120 gb worth of free space. I haven't tried your suggestion yet, but I am currently reinstalling the game just for * and giggles to see if it helps it any. What happens if one of my files is corrupted, how would I go about fixing that?
@pinkelise15 How to deal with a corrupted file depends on what kind of file it is. Cache files will be regenerated in the clean folder, so you don't have to bother moving your old ones over. Mods and cc can be bad or just incompatible with your current patch level; the best practice is to download new versions and check them in the clean folder to make sure they work. (Not all creators update their work after every patch, so make sure the files' pages say that they've been confirmed to be compatible with a fully updated game.)
If it turns out one of your saves is corrupt, then it's best to revert to a save. But save corruption is far less common in TS4 than TS3, so hopefully you won't have that problem. Saved sims and builds that create issues in-game may just have to be deleted, but again, that's not a common issue unless you downloaded a file containing bad cc.
