[Sims 4 Mac] Fullscreen not Working

Bear with me, I don't often post support requests, but I'll do my best.

Just opened up Sims 4 on my Mac (yay!) and I can't seem to get it to enter fullscreen. When I do so (by pressing ctrl + cmd + f, clicking view > fullscreen mode, or by going through game options), the in-game visuals expand as if they are in fullscreen, but the whole thing stays confined to a window (thus I can't see parts of the screen). I'm able to enter fullscreen on other applications, so I don't think it's a problem with my settings.

Running OS X 10.9.5 on an iMac. Any tips are appreciated.

Know that this post is super old, but this didn't have a solution that worked for me and I just found one. I'm using a pre-retina Mac and my Graphics setting had Retina ticked. Un-ticked that and BOOM full screen works!

Know this seems super logical but I just didn't twig!

Hope this helps other simmers out there 🙂

How to do what exactly? If you're looking for the Retina Display options, it's found under the Options menu of the game.Otherwise, please be more specific what issues are occurring.

    Happy Simming! 🙂

  • I know this is really old, but I just ran into this issue and your response SAVED ME! Thank you!!!
