Sims 4 Mac os Apple sillicone choppy walking animation

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.98.158.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? All except cottage living.
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Watching sims walk on macs with apple silicone processors will result in a very apparent stutter in the walking and running animation of sims. I can confirm this does not happen on windows machines.
What happens when the bug occurs? The sim walking animation is choppy,
What do you expect to see? A fluid walking animation thats consistent with the frame rate.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? No

This issue occurs exclusively on mac os and occurs even when custom content is not used.

Thanks. And you didn't move any of your previous content such as mods/CC, saves, settings over to the new folder?

I think the problem may be a performance issue with your Mac, not an issue with the game. Try closing all other apps so only Finder and Origin are running. If you have any background apps running such as Spotify/Drive/antivirus/scanning, as indicated in the top right section of the menu bar, close those too. Have a look in Activity Monitor and see what is using significant processing and graphics power and if you can, quit the processes making sure it has no bearing on the OS.

You could also try playing in a new user account on your Mac. and see if there is an improvement.

Only background processes which may be using resources and affecting gameplay but I would have thought it would affect other gameplay elements too, like camera panning. Could you upload a video showing the jerkiness? Easier to upload to YouTube, unlisted, and paste the URL in the video option when you Reply, not Quick Reply. Make sure the video is set to large.
