Sims 4 starts up in small unresponsive window in the bottom left corner

I have tried all solutions I could find on this problem, but none of them has worked for me. This includes turning off in-game Origin overlay and closing/opening Origin for latest updates but receive...

Problem solved. Turns out it was some screen sharing settings that didn't automatically reset after unplugging a HDMI cable, and therefore the Mac was on some other setting that caused the problem.

I am having the exact same issue. How did you fix it? I just got the game and have yet been unable to play it at all because of this

  Go into Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 and trash the Options.ini file then try launching your game again.

    I know this is super old but I'm having the same issue. I've tried deleting the Options.ini file (and emptying my trash can) multiple times but nothings working. I'm on a Macbook Pro if that helps at all. if anybody has any suggestions they would be much appreciated but I'm not the best with computers so if you could make any instructions quite simple that would be REALLY helpful haha
