sims 4 won’t start - game already running

My game hasn’t been able to start or load for a few days now. I’m playing on a mac if it makes any difference. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled twice. Reinstalled all the packs, all my mods etc. I’ve gotten rid of any firewalls that may be causing the issues, still nothing. The code that keeps coming up is [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:18a1dd51] and it says the game is already running. I’ve tried everything.
