Sims to an external hard drive from a MacBook Air please?

Hi there, Can I have help please transferring Sims 4 from a Mac Book Air to an external hard drive or cloud based storage set up please. It takes up so much space on the hard drive. Thankyou!

 Hi there,

Thanks for that. I copied to an external drive but I can't get that drive to come up in the change location section. How do I do that? I apologize! I have no idea how this works, I'm trying to make it work for my daughter who loves it. Then once I work that out can I delete from my computer's hard drive? Then I have no idea about user data, I guess it would be ideal if it was balloon the external hard drive. But getting the game and packs off is the first step.

Are you running Catalina? If so go into System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy and make sure Origin has Full Disk Access.
