  • @bMillie16  You may have another corrupt file somewhere in your game folder.  Rather than go through the files one by one, try dragging your entire TS4 folder out of Documents and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game again, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  If you can create a family and move them into a house in this new folder, you can start moving your saves and other content into it from your existing folder (or wherever you put your old saves).  Keep testing out the move in mechanic—no need to save your progress, just make sure it's still working—and if it breaks again, you'll know that some file you moved over was causing the problem.

If you can't move in a new family in a clean game folder, please post your mac's specs here, along with a list of the packs you have installed.  Here's how to find your specs:

@bMillie16  Unfortunately, there's no simple way to sort out outdated mods or bad cc.  If you know where you originally downloaded your content, you can check the sites for updated versions of the files and replace your old ones.  Patches often break third-party content, but many creators are quick to fix the issues and provide new versions of their creations.  Probably the easiest thing to do is download the newest versions of everything you can find and place them in a clean folder for testing.  If you can move in a family with just the new mods and cc, then you can get to work on the rest of your content.  (If the all-new mods and cc don't work, then use the process below to sort through them as well.)

For the files that you can't track down, you'll need to test them out in batches.  In another clean folder, put a batch of files in and then try to move in a family.  If it works, that batch is safe and can be put aside.  Any batch that doesn't work needs to be split and tested again in increasingly smaller groups until you've isolated the problem file(s).  The process can be a pain, but it's the only way you can find out for sure whether your content works.
