the new pack “Life and Death” does not appear in the game

I pre-ordered the new pack and then downloaded it. My EA app shows that I own the pack. I can also see it on my Mac with the other packs in the folder. 
However, the new world does not appear in my game. However, I get the notifications from the festivals in Ravenwood and have the new objects in build mode (but without the little symbol of which pack they are). I also can't have my Sims create a bucket list on the computer and carry out the soul journey.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled everything. I have also written to EA support several times, but they couldn't help me.... I'm honestly very frustrated at the moment.
