Trouble downloading CC or Mods on my Mac

Hello!

I apologize ahead, English is my second language so bear with me.

So I’m having trouble getting my cc to work on my Sims 4, I currently play on my Mac Air 2015. I just have the base game as it’s the only version that is compatible. I downloaded the game as a means to help with my anxiety and I like the concept of the game. I love designing and unleashing my creative side so this was a perfect pick. I’ve watched several videos on YouTube about CC and I’ve been eager to download a variety of CC and mods but no matter how many tutorials I’ve watched, I’m not getting any positive results. I followed every step, downloaded the necessary programs to unzip, enabled customer content and mods in my settings. EVERYTHING! Yet my cc doesn’t show up :,(.. I have the latest patches, version but nothing. I’ve visited mulple blogs but many only share how to install on a PC “and Mac” but it’s clear the instructions are meant for PC. So I’m coming here I don’t defeat 😭. I hope I can get some insight or help. If anyone comes across this and is willing to help, you may reach me through email ([edit: email address removed]) in case I don’t see the notifications for the EA platform.     @chocclat 

    CC works the same way on Mac and Windows, there is no difference.

    Please could you click on one of the CC files once to select it then go to File > Get Info. Under the General > Where section near the top of the info window please copy and paste the location of the file here. Depending on your language the names will obviously be different but the process is the same.

    Also, if you are running macOS 10.11 El Capitan or later on your 2015 Mac you will be able to run all Expansion, Stuff and Game packs, they are compatible on your Mac as it supports Metal 🙂

    hi! im on macbook pro 2009 and was wondering if it still works on their sinve its very old

    @Bluebellflora Hey the game works but it seems old because there’s not much on it compared to ps4 sims. I was wondering if cc/mods work ?

    Depends what they are. You would just need to try and see. Anything graphics intense no but gameplay changes, maybe?

    @Lucydugganxo i would not recommend playing sims on that lol. i had the exact same one with the base game and a ton of storage and it managed to kill off the motherboard.

    Would help if @Lucydugganxo actually stated the exact model MacBook Pro as per About This Mac. Apple produced two very different models in 2009 - 13" and 15" as they still do now (although 16" has replaced 15") The 15"/16" models are always far more powerful than the 13" but yeah, really don't think it will run the game well at all on such an old machine.
