Unable to start: The Sims™ 4 is already running. [ed35e0ea:29f00e76:00000000:1

My game won't load. Origin says the game is ready to play but I keep getting the same message: 

Unable to start:

 

The Sims™ 4 is already running.

I've repaired the game, downloaded Origin Repair and restarted my computer. Nothing works.
