Unable to use the gray bar

Hi, 

I have been experiencing this issue since yesterday. It started when i attempted to upload a sim onto the gallery, but I had to force quit the game because it spent an hour on the loading screen. 

When I went back to play the game it wouldn’t let me use the bottom gray bar: I can’t press play or pause it hovers into my app bar on my 2021 macbook and then it lets me press the buttons. 

I have repaired the game 5 time, deleted all mods and tried to repair again. I ended up deleting it and had it download over night. It is now that next day and it’s still not working. I cleared the cache as well, changed resolution settings, and tried to change the windowing. 

In windowed it allows me to press the buttons like normal, but once I put it into fullscreen the buttons no longer work. 

Please help, I’ve spent so much money on this game and would hate to not be able to play again.
