Walls, Floors, Exterior Is Blue

I just downloaded Sims4 and I cannot see the real colors of the house inside or out. Everything is blue. The exterior walls sometimes look their actual color, depending on angle and time of day. On the inside; never. A cream colored carpet and cream wallpaper look... blue. In the attached picture — the one without the grid on — you can see the room with white carpet that looks the same as the rooms without.

I've seen this mentioned in other threads, but the threads never seem to reach a fix, or they link out to Mac troubleshooting threads where this issue isn't mentioned.

I disabled retina mode as suggested in other threads but no dice.

Product: The Sims 4

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 4
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? None
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I don't know
What happens when the bug occurs? Walls are staying blue no matter what — I can only see the actual color of the exterior walls at certain times of day. On the inside, wallpaper and carpet and everything, while white, appears blue. Adding more windows does nothing.

    Hi,

I had was using the normal settings (in the screenshot majority of things on low), but I have also tried putting them on high and unfortunately nothing seems to change the outlook (as in my other screenshot of settings).

I think it's only white colours that hold the blue hue.

    Thanks

@Bluebellflora forgot to mention that laptop mode isn't enabled but i've also tried with it enabled and still no change.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Even in the afternoon mine had a blue hue to it and it’s not grey.

Do you know how how I can check sims 4 is using the right graphics card please?

    Many thanks

Only some 15" MacBook Pros have an integrated chip and dedicated GPU. The OS will automatically switch to the dedicated card when you launch the game. You can see which card it's using in Activity Monitor under the Requires High Perf GPU header. If the OS doesn't automatically switch to the better card that would indicate a hardware or OS issue.

I was having a similar issue to the original person and I realized that one of the sides to a room didn’t have a wall. So I built a wall there and the problem was gone!
