What computer is best for the Sims 4 including packs, mods, and cc?
Hi!
I am hoping to get an opinion on this iMac, I am looking for a desktop that I can play all the expansion/game/stuff packs (and kits) on, and download tons of mods & cc on as well. I have a 2020 (I think) macbook pro currently & playing the sims on it is the worst. It is very laggy, cc and mods barely work, and so on.

I have heard skepticism about running the sims on macs and how people say it just doesn’t work well, but then I am reading up on this iMac and it seems good. But I am not technically inclined enough to fully understand some of this stuff (lol) and I don’t want to pay $1500+ on this mac for it not to meet my gaming expectations. There also is the Mac mini, Mac Studio, & Mac Pro, if you think the iMac is incapable of meeting my gaming needs. Also I am not married to an Apple device.

The game runs great on silicon Macs which that iMac is. Apple will probably be updating them soon though as they have the original M1 chip which is 3 years old now. I would hold off for a month or so.
If your current Mac is an Intel machine you can't compare to the silicon Macs. The silicon Macs are game changers and perform amazingly.
