I kinda have that problem because i accidentally deleted my sims 4 folder so i reinstalled origin and i reinstalled sims 4 but it says download so i press it then it says

Origin was denied access to the following file or folder: /Users/#######/Documents/The Sims 4.app.

This may be due to security restrictions or disk corruption. Check the folder permissions or check your disk for errors before retrying the download.

Can Someone help me and i also have spent around $300 on packs for sims 4 someone PLEASE HELP ME!

Try logging out of origin . Then try right clicking the origin icon on the desktop and click " run as administrator " . See if that helps the issue.
These threads refer to the error mesage that you are receiving. Try doing the suggestions in those threads. If the issue remains, it may be best to post on one of those threads.

I am sorry that you are having these issues,
Go to game options and check that the " enable custom content and mods" button is ticked, which is found in :
Options | Other | Enable Custom Content and Mods. If it isn't ticked, do that.Also check that the script mods allowed button is ticked as well. Exit the game. Then go back into the game again and see if the cc appears then.

If the issues remain, remove all the cc from your mods folder. Go to a different website from where you downloaded your other cc from, and download one cc item. Then place the one cc package file into the mods folder. Launch the game and see if it appears.

okay, so i have been up all night researching on how to install Custom Content. i've read everything on these pages.
I've deleted and reinstall the resource.cfg folder
i have ''ticked'' both the cc and script mods box
I've repaired the game
i made sure it what in the mods folder
i've pulled them all out and tested them one by one.

i am using a MacBook Air is that my problem? or does it not matter?

please respond as soon as possible because i am currently very stressed and bummed that none of this is working for me and I've been trying for Days now.

I am sorry that you are having these issues :( I am just checking that you have taken the package files out of any zipped files or rar files that they came in, and placed them into the mods folder? Try placing the package files in directly without being in sub folders.

You don't need to apologise at all! I am sorry that you are having these issues.

The notification screen only appears if the game recognises that you are using cc /mods. It won't appear if you don't use cc/mods.
You may need to post on the Mac section of the forums. Mac simmers may be able to assist you. The link to that section of the forums is

Some mods have needed to have been updated since the latest game patch. Try checking in the posts in the first page of this link thread and see if you have the mods listed there.

It would be best to go back to the sites where you downloaded the script mods from and read the installation instructions. Each mod has a particular way of being installed and where to place it in the mods folder.

Not having the gameversion.text shouldn't cause issues. It is a text file that says what the latest game patch version is that you have in your game.
I am just checking. Make sure that your game is fully updated with the latest game patch.
