Black Gallery Loading Screen

I am so confused and begging for help, so please help! I am opening my sims 4 game and it then shows the loading screen, and the words before it USUALLY loads; but then when it is supposed to be going to the gallery it goes to a black loading screen with the background noise. My game has been running smoothly before this but today it started acting up. I tried to add some mods in the game but then that's when my game started crashing. I've looked all around and nothing is helping. I've tried deleting all the mod files I have, re-installing the game, logging out of my account, changing the advanced loading settings, restarting my computer, and NOTHING is working. PLEASE HELP!!!

  • calliebs  Are you saying that your game runs fine as long as you don't try to open the Gallery?  Does it help to remove your Tray folder?  You don't have to delete it; just set it aside.

It opens then shows the screen with the gem and words then when it should show the sim it shows a black screen and i cant start a game or do anything, i also can't close it

  • calliebs  To be clear, this happens ONLY when you try to use the Gallery?  Or does it happen when you try to load the game itself, or when you try to start a new game?  I do need to know this.

Please also try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If you get another black screen, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
