Solved

Can't get half my EPs, GPs, SPs and kits to show up in my game???

For starters, hello and thank you for even just reading this.  If there's anyone that can actually help me out I'll be eternally grateful!

My Sims4 game is saved on an external hard drive that I plug into the computer and start up the EA app and boom bang bing, the app recognizes where it is and the game runs like a charm.

Until now.  Because see, I had only some of my assorted add ons installed in my game.  My choice at the time because of not liking some features of some of the assorted packs and so on.  But I decided tonight that I'd like to add in what I hadn't yet, and went to do so.  Thought it worked.  Started the game up, nope, worlds and stuff from those add ons were not in my game.  As if I'd never added them in at all.  So, I did a game repair.  No dice.  I uninstalled my Sims4 game completely from the external hard drive, the reinstalled it and then re-downladed and re-installed all my add ons for the game.  Start it up.

Nope.  Game works fine but only with the add ons that I had been using before, not recognizing at all that the rest of them had even been downloaded and installed as well!

Please.  Is there someone who can please advise me on what to do here so that I can use all the content that SHOULD now be showing up in my game but isn't???  Pretty please with sugar on top?

  • serendipity38  Please open Marketplace > My Collection and see whether your packs are deactivated.  If they are, enable them and restart the game.

If that's not the issue, it sounds like you might have a second copy of Sims 4 installed somewhere, and that's the copy where the other packs are installed.  Please see this guide to DLC not loading, in particular the section about what to do when the EA App thinks the DLC is installed.

puzzlezaddict Thank you!  Thank you SO very much!  I had no idea that I needed to go in there and do that!  But I opened it up and found the deactivated ones and made sure to activate them and then restarted the game.  And boom!  All my content (At least from a quick check to see if all my worlds are showing up now, which they are) is now activated and the worlds at least, are accessible to me!  So yes, thank you so very much, and thankfully it was the easier solution rather than the harder one you mentioned in the second half of your reply to me here.  Thank you again and Happy Simming to you!
