Please Help I'm Going round in circles here
I bought a couple of new add-ons in Sims 4 but they didn't show up in my game. I have lots of packs and ad ons so I downloaded them in exactly the same way as before, nothing new. I went through numerous processes from forums and you tube videos etc and got nowhere. In the end I uninstalled the game, EA and steam. I then reinstalled steam, downloaded the base game from Steam (where I originally got it) and reinstalled the EA App. It all looked promising and I went ahead and downloaded all my packs etc. Nothing but base game is showing up when I play. I can see all the folders for the ad ons like EP01. EP02 etc in Windows-Program Files-EA Games - The Sims 4- I do have an Electronic Arts folder here as well though, as you see below EA Games there is a folder Electronic Arts. I also have an eletronic arts folder in My Documents. I've literally wasted two days of my life trying to fix this and I've spent a fortune on packs and ad ons. I hope someone can help
Missing some Expansion Packs from my list as well as Game Packs also Stuff Packs
I am missing a huge chunk of these that I purchased. I know I have all the stuff packs yet it is saying I'm missing four of them. It says I'm missing 2 of the Game Packs yet one came out in 2016 and I know I purchased it and the other one is the Dream Home Decorator that came out in 2021. I'm missing Life and Death, Love Struck, Business and Hobbies, For Rent, Cottage Living, Cats and Dogs, City Living, Get to Work, Get Famous, Discover University, Get Together, Eco Lifestyle. I know I played with these packs, I've had vets, and the world that has green living on one side and University, I only haven't gotten the last two expansion packs as I haven't played in a while. I would like to get these back in my library. I refuse to buy them... again. Before it's suggested that I am simply logged into the wrong account, I am not. I've tried to find the orders and billing tab but there isn't one to be found. I have it set up through PayPal but I doubt their history goes that far back. I'm beyond annoyed.
Owned DLC Missing Items In Game
I have been encountering an error message in game that says "Content Not Installed." It says that "Purchased or other content used in this gallery item is not installed. If you place it now, you will not see the uninstalled content. Do you want to place this household/lot." I have a lot of expansion packs, stuff packs, game packs, and a few kits, but do not utilize any CC or Mods at all. The items that I'm having an issue with are all households or lots that I made myself with all the packs that I own. When viewing it in my Gallery, under the most recent updates, it now has two tabs at the bottom. The left one for "show used items from these packs" and displays all my packs that I own and that are downloaded. The right one says "show used items" and has a red X over a few items that I just chose in CAS with no problem. I tried making a sim and saving it with 0 DLC content and didn't have the error message. I did it again with just 1 random item from a DLC and was given the message. Not every time I do this will it show the red X, but I always get this message when trying to place my own content from the Gallery into a save. I waited until the new updates and downloaded those. I used the EA app to repair all content. I cleared the cache. Tried closing out the game and starting it up again. I'm sure there's other things I haven't tried that might work, but I haven't seen a lot of people commenting about this particular issue.Not sure what kind of issue this is...
Hi! I'm not sure where to post this question. I cleaned up my mods and cc's after the update and reintroduced them all, on by one, back into my game. My game was running fine for the past ten days or so. My game was running fine yesterday. This morning, I turned my game on and a notification popped up saying "Turn Off Auto-scaling with OS Setting?". The two options to select are "Keep Current Settings" or "Turn Off Auto-Scaling (Recommended)". Now when I select "Keep Current Settings" the game wont load fully. It starts to load, and then it stops just before getting to the main menu. If I choose "Turn Off Auto-Scaling" I get a notification stating "Unrecognized Video Card". Can anyone help me figure this out? The game loads to the point of where I can see the green Sims emblem, with the info below that. Then the green emblem disappears, and only the info stays. Then the screen doesn't load past that.
game won't open
hi everybody, I cannot open the game after the newest update (posting this on the twentysixth of march 2026), I've deleted all of my mods (and had no cc) before trying to start the game but before the latest update that was supposed to fix the game my game did start. Only after the latest update do I get a blueish black screen with only my cursor visible, does anyone know how to fix this? I've had the base game since release and I have all the dlc (except marketplace add ons) if that mathers at all.
Royalty Expansion Not Showing in Game
I just bought the royalty expansion pack and its not showing up in my game. It doesn't show up in my marketplace collection either. It took money out and it shows up in the folder, just not in game. I've tried uninstalling Sims 4 and restarting my computer and repairing the game. Every pack shows up and ive never had problems until now. (cm edit - updated title for vis)
