EA & Steam are not working together
I had to rebuy some of my expansion packs on Steam. The EA app would not give them to me and the help desk wanted receipts? but who keeps receipts. Anyway, now I can't get Businesses & Hobbies plus some small stuff packs and kits to transfer correctly. If Steam does transfer them, then all my other packs disappear. If I uninstall and reinstall Sims 4, then everything is there, including my Steam packs, except that one. I have already rebought packs. I am willing to rebuy these. Does anyone know how I can?
Can't save lots to gallery or library.
I'd like to preface this by saying I don't have any mods or CC installed (boring I know). I've tried repairing the game via the EA App, restarting my laptop, and deleting previous saves to my library to clear space. I read that clearing cache can help but I can't find a cache folder under my Electronic Arts files. I'm able to download from the gallery and my library still, just not able to upload thing on there. I've had this issue for the last three years but thought that updates might fix it, which they didn't, and I stopped playing the game for about two years. Now that I've returned, this is a really frustrating problem. I have quite a few expansion packs, so it could be an issue with those but as I said above, I've tried repairing the game and I don't know anyone else who has packs with this issue. It's not coming up with a specific error code, just says 'there is an issue saving this lot to your library/to the gallery.' I've contacted EA Support who said they'll get in touch with the technical team on my behalf and contact me with an update, but they also said it would be worthwhile to post on the forum.
Digital Deluxe missing and steam packs are not in game
Hi, I was gifted some packs through steam by my sister who could not buy them though the EA app so she had to use steam. I've been trying to get the crystal creations and the Funeral pack working to no end. I ended up connecting my steam account to my EA account and not is is telling me I need to buy the digital deluxe upgrade which I have had for years! What is going on? Why is this so hard to get working? Why is the content I bought being deleted. please help. = (
Sims 4 DLC Missing
So, I had to redownload my game in the EA app after changes were made to my account and it disappeared. I originally played on steam, but now my game won't open unless it is installed through the EA app. Also, I have about 21 DLC that I bought through steam. None of those DLCs show up when I launch the game on the EA app. So, while the EA app does allow me to launch and play the game, I am missing all my DLC. I have tried redownloading on steam and I cannot launch the game at all because EA gives me a message saying that I don't own it. I have already contacted EA help and they sent me to forums. I don't care if I lose my saves, I just want to play with my DLC that I paid for. Does anyone have this problem and is there a solution? Thank you.Purple plants
I've been having an issue with my trees and plants that are not sheltered and grown outside turning a dull purple color instead of green. It happens whether the plant is in or out of season. It also happens with decorative plants from build buy mode. Has anyone else had this issue? I play on pc and I use mods.
Freezing/crashing
Hello, this is my first post here so I apologize if I do anything wrong. My game has been crashing (particularly in build-mode but also outside of it) and/or freezing since I downloaded the nursery kit last year. I use some basic mods (primarily **bleep**), but even turning them off doesn't seem to help at this point. They've been inactive/turned off in game for months. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game entirely, and this also didn't help. I use an NVIDIA driver and always have, and recently installed a different, earlier version in an attempt to fix my issue. It did not. I have searched through the sims 4 discord as well as various forums, EA-run and otherwise, and none of the solutions offered have helped. I have tried everything I've been able to understand. At this point, I can play maybe 5 minutes if I'm lucky. It's been about a year now that this has been happening. I keep up with updates, and repair the game/packs regularly. I'm very frustrated because I've spent a lot of money on this game, and I've had it since it came out. I got the first pets pack on disc I've been playing for so long. I don't know what to do, and I'd really appreciate some help/suggestions on how to fix my game. Thank you.
