I have followed every forum post and Reddit post I have seen about this issue I have done ALL things recommended to do with the firewall the permissions, moving files, removing mods and content, clearing cache, uninstalling, reinstalling, repairing literally everything the game will not load or start
I don’t know what to do it was fine until my laptop was updated last night
I do not use steam I use the EA App I don’t know what else I can do does the game just not work anymore?

I have done it for the firewall and the antivirus on windows it comes under windows defender and takes me to the “ransomware” shortcut
I have the entire EA and Sims folders under the controlled access as well as all types of the application
I’ve looked at the forum tried it all, nothing, I was at it for 8hrs yesterday
I’ve been playing since release so this sucks so much
