EA keeps changing my location (Trying to get sims in English)

I downloaded EA the other day to play The Sims. When setting it up, I purposely selected the US as my region so I could play the game in English. However, EA keeps detecting my actual location (an EU country) and automatically changing my region, limiting my language options to only three local languages. My friend installed EA the same way I did, but she still has the option to play The Sims in English. I would really appreciate it if someone let me know if theirs anything I can do to have the English language option or not.
