Game crashes when clicking on New Game

It started crashing after the Feb 3 update, when I tried creating a new game. I haven't tried opening any of my existing save files because I'm afraid they'll get corrupted.

First thing I did was remove all my mods and delete localthumbcache.package.
When that didn't fix the issue, removed the entire Sims 4 folder from the Electronic Arts folder but that just created another issue. When I tried to run the game it crashed immediately and there was a pop-up that said "the game has run out of memory." I know for a fact that I have enough memory though.

I then replaced the new Sims 4 folder with the old one and the game got to the main menu but still would crash when trying to create a new game.
Also, idk if it's connected, but the thumbnails in the gallery aren't showing up (they just display a red cross).

    I FINALLY found a solution!! I went to my Windows Defender settings and added the main game folder (the one with the Bin folder) to exclusions. Idk why that worked and what exactly the problem was, but it worked and that's all I care about

    I’ve been having a similar problem since the most recent updates, I can load a game and cas but once I’m in build mode for a couple minutes I get a white screen. It seems like the game is still running behind it, music and I can click stuff and even still build lol it’s just all white. I turned my graphics down to medium and everything’s updated, I have no mods and have done all the normal troubleshooting. I even have a decent PC built for gaming and art, and I’ve NEVER had this problem before. Before I turned everything to medium it would turn white then crash itself, but even then I’ve never had a problem with my graphics for the sims, and all my other games and art programs run just fine. I wonder if the updates are the problem. I just wanna play sims bro 😭😭 LOL

    My game was fine this morning and then I got back on and now it’s saying “sims delivery error” I have taken my mods out delete cache and local thumb cache repaired my game turned my laptop on and off made and exemption with my firewall and now I’m uninstalling and reinstalling. Hope this works.

    And it keeps getting stuck when I try to load into a new game. I’ve randomized a couple sims to try and start a new game and it keeps getting stuck here.

    Wait which folder?? Electronic arts folder? Cuz u had the same issue as me and I’m desperate I already tried the ea folder to windows defender exemptions and it didn’t do anything.
