I can't open the game

A few days ago, I started playing on a new world and have been consistently adding custom content. Up until now, I hadn't had any issues, but today, after downloading some new CC, I tried to open the game and it wouldn't launch. There's no error message or anything, it simply doesn't open. I've tried several things like restarting my PC, removing the CC to see if that was the issue, restoring the game files through the EA app, and even making a backup and uninstalling the app to reinstall it, but it still doesn't work. I've looked for solutions but nothing has worked so far. Please, can someone help me? I'm afraid I might lose my save data and the mods/CC I've downloaded 😢 (Sorry if this doesn't make sense, I'm a Spanish speaker, so I'm trying to translate this using Google)

  • vettkunn  Please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If you still can't play, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
