My game doesn't launch

Hi,

I've done the new update and now I can't play. I keep trying to 'play' but the game just never opens. I repaired the game many times, repaired the app, closed my computer... Nothing works.

  • I forgot to mention that my EA status says that I'm in game but the game doesn't open.

Also, If I click directly on Sims 4 app, it says that I need to update, but i've already updated it.

  • As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

If that doesn't help, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

  • Same!! I've been trying to open the game for the last hour and nothing happens... I deleted all my CC and tried to clear the cashe but still can't open the game... :(

  • Please try the suggestion in my previous post, and if that doesn't help, provide a dxdiag.
