cluelesskenz What happens when you try to play? If you get an error, please post a screenshot.
Otherwise, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop. When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.
If you still can't play, please provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

I can't launch the game or open the EA App after downloading the last update.
Edit: I restarted my laptop and everything works now. Phew! - lovlyb5 days agoSeasoned Veteran
I can't open my game either, I click play and it load and crashes.

This seems to be mod related. Move your mods out of the Mods folder and replace them one by one. This worked for me.

Here is my DXdiag. I did make a post about this issue here and I just saw where you mention me on this post, but thanks for replying
lovlyb Are you still getting the "Failed to launch game" error? Or does something different happen?
Your dxdiag says Sims 4 is crashing due to an issue with the graphics driver. Your driver is from 2020, which may be the problem. So please install the newest driver Intel offers for your processor and graphics chip:
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart after installing and before trying to play.
If you get an error when trying to install the driver, please try this workaround:

Start raising your voice to Ea about the option to opt out of updates. Im done with this bs.
We are forced the updates and that isn't ok...
Enough is enough. - xtinkerrx5 days agoSeasoned Newcomer
This is exactly why I turn off auto update & go offline in the EA app when it needs an update so it doesn’t force me to update the game!
It’s getting ridiculous how they are adding things constantly and breaking the game even more when they could be fixing issues with DLC’s and working on the bugs that they already have vs adding more!! - lovlyb5 days agoSeasoned Veteran
I did as you said and yes, that worked. I didn't know my drivers wasnt updating as I had my update setting to automatic update. But Thank you so much, I can now play my game and this worked for me. Thanks, Puzzeladdict 😊
