Hi!! So I bought the cats and dogs pack through EA even though i use steam to actually play sims 4. For some reason i cannot get the DLC to show up in my game. Ive tried mostly everything but if you have any idea please reply im willing to try almost anything lol. When i check the installer log for the actual file of cats and dogs it says i need the base game installed (which obviously i have it installed)
al6xis Please open the EA App and click Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons. Does Cats & Dogs show as installed? If you see a Download button, click it.
If C&D is listed as installed, please run a search for its folder. Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter EP04 in the search field in the upper-right corner. Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result. If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary. Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.
Thanks for the reply! So when i log into EA it will show installed but then when i play sims and go back into EA itll say that i dont even have it purchased.
This is all that shows when i look up EP04
al6xis These are all the entries? It's odd because there's no folder in __Installer anywhere, and there's also an EP04 folder here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Steam
I have no idea what that folder is for, but try deleting the EP04 folder inside, with the EA App and Steam both closed. Then clear the EA App's cache (again, if you have already):

and see whether you can reinstall the pack. It should go into the game's program files this time:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\The Sims 4
The folder in Delta can be ignored for these purposes.
So i deleted it out of that folder and cleared the cache and it is not telling me to reinstall cats and dogs. it says i still have it downloaded
And earlier it said i didnt have it installed so i reinstalled it and now it is in the installer folder. Ill attach a new picture of my files.
al6xis This looks fine now. Does the pack still not load in-game? It should be easy enough to tell since you can either create a pet or not.
If the pack won't load, please go to ea.com, sign in, open Account Settings > Order History, and list the status of the purchase: Completed, Processing, or Failed.
It still isnt loading and i bought it using a giftcard
al6xis Try uninstalling and reinstalling the entire game, as in, the clean uninstall described here:

Since you've installed through Steam, you don't need to create a new folder into which you'll install Sims 4, but I would suggest uninstalling the EA App (not Steam though) for good measure. Anchors don't work on this site at the moment, so use ctrl-F to search for revo and jump there.
