Problem with W A S D not working

So I am French Canadian, I speak both English and French in my daily life. I ended up downloading the English version of the sims for the first time 2 years ago. My biggest issue with it is that I use a French keyboard. If want to be able to use W A S D on The Sims, I have to manually change the language on my computer to English instead of French. It can be really frustrating as I prefer the French layout to be able to do the accents easier. Is there any fix coming to resolve the problem? 

TLDR:  If you use English version of the sims and have french keyboard, it wont let you use W A S D
I couldnt find a fix for it anywhere


Here's all that I've done trying to fix the situation:
I have reinstalled a couple of times, removed all mods too with new save and new install
I even changed computer during that time and the problem persisted
I've tried repairing

Only solution that fixes it and manually changing to English keyboard on PC and then changing back to French once you're done playing

    Pookaabear​  I believe Keyboard Manager, part of Microsoft's PowerToys, would allow you to remap keys only for Sims 4:

    I'm not sure which keys stand in for WASD on a French (Canadian) keyboard, but once you figure that out, you could remap WASD to those keys only within the game: TS4_x64 for the DirectX 11 version, or TS4_DX9_x64 for the DX9 version.  The app would need to be running, but you could probably set it to start with Windows and ignore it going forward.
