Pookaabear I believe Keyboard Manager, part of Microsoft's PowerToys, would allow you to remap keys only for Sims 4:

I'm not sure which keys stand in for WASD on a French (Canadian) keyboard, but once you figure that out, you could remap WASD to those keys only within the game: TS4_x64 for the DirectX 11 version, or TS4_DX9_x64 for the DX9 version. The app would need to be running, but you could probably set it to start with Windows and ignore it going forward.
