Do you have any CC or mods? Try removing them.

Looks like this problem has resurfaced. I just started playing Sims again (I took a three month break) And have been playing perfectly fine for 3 days. Suddenly today, I made a new family and have tried to move them into three separate houses all of which have disappeared.
I have no mods or CC.
I have not tried to uninstall/ reinstall and would really like to avoid doing all of that if I can.
I have tried to take out the files, start a new game, and it's the same result. The houses start to disappear.
Did anyone ever find out what caused this?
try moving this file: documents\electronicarts\thesims4\saves_slot00000001.save to the desktop (close game first) and then restart the game.

What's your Operating system ?
did anyone get anywhere with this? I purchased the game and was playing fine, had the issue mentioned if I was playing for a long time so would leave it a while and come back, but after the latest update, no houses at all show up. The household is just stood outside an empty plot. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Same issue. The only thing left to try for me so far is a factory reset (when I find out how to do this) and after that I think I will just have to get a refund. Using a windows 10 PC, no mods etc.

Also could you check if your houses are still visible if you go to build mode directly from the map ?

This is happening again. I haven't found any solution. My family's house had gone when I loaded the save I was playing with. I had save it to the gallery, so I build it again, and save the game in a new slot. When I loaded that last save, the house was gone again.
