Saying I Don’t Own Any Packs

My sims 4 recently updated and I haven’t played for a while, I have cleared cache and still cannot access the packs i own. It’s saying I don’t own any. How do i fix this? Ive redownloaded both EA and Sims 4 nothing working.

  • MurryMints10  It sounds like you may have signed into the wrong EA account, as in, not the one that owns these packs.  It's a common mistake these days.  Try signing in with any other email address you have access to; you can click "Forgot your password?" if you don't know what password you'd have used.  Any address tied to an EA account should get a password-recovery email.  Be sure to check the spam folder as well as the inbox.

I’m having this same issue and I know for a fact i’m signed into the correct account because I only have 1

  • Lowkey_depressed  Please check your Order History on ea.com and let me know what you find there.  Your purchases may or may not show up, and if they do, please list their status: Completed, Processing, or Failed.

  • I too am having this same issue.

The moment the EA App was updated, I had my game open. It "crashed: me to Desktop, and advised that I restart the EA App. My game didn't crash, but I exited anyway and restarted the app and restarted my game, and once it loaded, it no longer recognized any of my purchased DLC, and I've been unable to load any previously saved games that use any DLC without the game recognizing my packs.

I had been playing continually prior to the most recent update to the EA App with no issues that weren't fixed by a simple reload, for days before this happened.

I have attempted to troubleshoot this problem with my game not recognizing my packs myself, and saw success for about 7 game loads by deleting the AccountDataDB package inside the Sims 4 folder. However, I began deleting this package preemptively, every single time before loading my game, and it stopped working.  (If you choose to do this, only do it when the game is not recognizing your packs, it seemed to be consistently working in that case)

After deleting the AccountDataDB Package began to fail, after 7 straight failed attempts, I completely uninstalled and reinstalled both the EA App and The Sims 4 using additional removal software (REVO) and then did a Game Repair. This did nothing, as did clearing the EA App Cache or the Game Cache prior. I did this process twice, incase I missed something. After the 2nd time, I repaired the game twice in a row, before restarting the game to verify (this was by accident, as I got confused) I was checking where my DLC was installed, incase it was installed incorrectly, and located it correctly inside Program Files > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 >. I also ran my game from the Application inside the Game > Bin. I did this incase there was a way to bypass the EA App, and possibly fix "the glitch" between the game and the App.

After loading, my game correctly identified my packs again after loading through the Application located inside the Game > Bin.  (Whether this actually had any effect, I have no idea)

I immediately exited my game and playtested it through the EA App, by starting it through the EA App.

For the last 3 game loads, it has continued to recognize my game packs. I do not know why it seems to recognize them and then not recognize them. I only have 1 EA Account. I have only ever had 1 EA Account. I do have a Steam account, but I have only ever made purchases for TS4 on my EA account.

I've experienced this problem with my game before, but until now, a simple restart has always fixed the issue. The game not recognizing my packs seems to be random, and happening with and without Mods installed.

I've been playtesting and reporting my findings as I've seen a lot of reports of this problem, and would like to see it resolved in the Community.
