SIMS 4 ADD-ON ISSUES

I am hoping someone can help me PLEASE!!!!!! I have been playing the sims 4 on my pc laptop with some of my add-ons.  I decided to purchase an external hard drive for more storage to be able to play the base game and all of my add- ons at the same time.  I have the game installed and the EA APP states all is downloaded but when I lauch the game with or without my external hard drive it does not show up in my game play.  I have uninstalled/re-installed/ cleared EA APP Cache but its not working .  All of my gameplay has been erased and only 3 worlds appear within the game.  I need help I havent been able to play my game for 3 day.  I have installed and downloaded each add-on Ive even attempted to just download the base game then manually select specific game packs yet they still do not load when game is launched PLEASE PLEASE HELP

    Jazzie0687​  Is your game installed on the external drive or not?  I'm not sure from your description, but if it is, the content would of course not show up when the external was not connected.  I'd like the full path to the install location, which you can see in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

    Please also let me know how the external is formatted.  You can check by clicking Windows key-X and selecting Disk Utility, with the external plugged in of course.

    this is similarly happening to me but i got a new laptop. i bought alot of my content on ea app and then 2 back in the past on steam. and only HALF of my packs are showing up in game even tho i downloaded em all. and i dont have a hard drive is the only difference.
