Re: Connect a child/underage account to my account as a family member

My daughter wants SIMS 4, however, her child account cannot find SIMS 4 in her EA APP even though I approved it through my account on the same computer. Additionally, she is going to want two add-ons, so I will also need to do that when the time comes.

All the other forum responses say to use the "Game Advisors" but EA's new help system makes that quite literally impossible. It simply creates an endless loop of useless articles or allows me to submit an email ticket. In fact, I currently have 2 open email tickets... but both are waiting on my input and neither of which actually allow me to add input. So, according to the Cases page, they will be auto-closed due to inactivity also with no helpful output. So, hopefully the forum will be better.

Wanted to put a post back in the forum to talk through the steps (that worked) to get the base game loaded.
Set up a child's EA account, this account can transfer to a teen account once they reach age 13. Link to the parent's email address.
Navigate to EA Help (help.ea.com) and login with the parent account
Go to Sim 4 -> See All Help Articles -> I need Help Loading my Game (here)
Scroll down until you see the widget "Chat with us" where it will indicate a wait time and click in
Once an agent comes online you will have to confirm your name
Note - they do NOT provide redemption codes for Sims 4 so you'll have to proceed in the manner outlined below:
Indicate you have a child's account that you need to have Sims 4, a free game loaded onto
You will need to provide the child's EA Account ID
They will have you confirm that you are a parent of the child, may also need confirmation of the linked email address
They will send you a confirmation email to the parent's email address
Once you provide the code included back to the support representative they will load the game into the profile to have it available to download
Additional note: If you tried to load the game via Steam, you will have to uninstall the Steam version in order for the download to work.

TheWightBoss If you're not seeing the live chat option, try Sims 4 > [all topics] > I need help loading my game. Additionally, make sure the location within the browser window is set to U.S. or U.K. so you get English support and therefore are more likely to be offered live chat.

Here we can not help you with this. You need to go through support. I recommend that you choose the chat option.
