sims can't walk through doors

My sims can't seem to be able to walk through any door. They can walk through arches just fine but not through any door. It keeps giving me the can't find route symbol and the sim can't get through. I have all expansion packs, stuff packs and game packs as well as most build/buy kits. I have tried without any mods and the problem persists. I have also tried repairing the game and the bug persists.

I just came back (please note that I did not restart the computer...I was working on something else and then went back to sims when I saw that you asked the community lots question) and now the doors work????? I guess whatever was wrong it fixed itself while I was job searching on indeed. lol🙃

i cannot go through any regular door only arches and that includes the front door. only arches work or deleting a wall

Try the following

- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.

does this happen with this Sim only ? Does she by chance have a neighbor tag if you hover over her ?

Can she walk through doors on community lots ?

It's a symptom of this issue: Household members turning into neighbors/ Can't use doors (1.112.519/2.06) | EA Forums - 11867223 and yes, they usually go back to normal after a while/reload/travel

Could this be what happened ?

This could be what happened. I don't know and since it has "fixed" itself, I can't check. I do know that I replaced all my doors with arches and I was able to play at home so I'm not sure. Do neighbours have the ability to walk through arches without issue? Not sure. I'm just glad that it's fixed and I can keep playing 😃

I moved this to gameplay as it's fixed.

If it happens again, check for the neighbor tag and if that was the issue, upvote the thread.
