Sims 4 crashing before getting to menu?

Is anyone else experiencing crashes before you even get to the main menu? I don’t use mods but I recently bought dlc content and tried to load into the game after download and this happened. I uninstalled every dlc purchase I had and tried to launch base game, it still crashed before main menu. Tried uninstalling base game and deleting the game folder and reinstalling and going in and it still is doing the same thing. I’m genuinely at a loss and don’t know what to do. Don’t know if it’s a me problem or an EA problem? My game has always run well on my computer before now so I’m not sure. Any advice would be lovely

  • Tatted_Dragon  Sorry for the late reply.  If you still need help, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
