I recently download Sims 4 Cats & Dogs, today even, and my game loaded up fine. I went to CAS a created a household, and chose a house for them to live in. Between the screens of choosing a house and actually playing the game, it was an infinite loading screen. The plumbob just spun around and around, with the little texts popping up under it, for at least 20 minutes. I had to shut down my computer and tried again-with the same household. No luck. I tried once more, this time with a different household, and still, just an infinite loading page. I contacted Tech Support about 4 hours ago, and no one has called back. I tried repairing the game, with the base game and all packs, but I still had the same outcome. It was working fine yesterday, but then when I got home today I installed the new expansion and then this happened. Anyone know what's going on?

I contacted Tech Support and just got off the line. They say it is a technical issue on their end and they are working to fix it. We don't have to do anything but wait until they fix this issue.

Same, but my case is a little worse. I have no stuff packs at all or expansions. All I have is custom content with the custom content cleaner. I created a new sim and everything stopped working. Now I can't go into town. All I can do is create sims. I'm really mad and upset because I spent my 40 dollars on it. It's also my favorite game. Anyone who can help or knows what to do, please message me how I can fix this...

@Monkeys_R_Us1098Hi!Are you using any mods or cc in your game?Try to remove them and see if the game works better.For example, move the mods folder from C:\Users\Username\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to your Desktop and start the game.If that works but you want to keep your mods, you can try some different things to sort out the ones not working:If your problem occurred after a certain mod haul, remove all these new mods (see if the game works), and then add back a few at a time, restarting the game in between until you see the problem occurring again. Remember that you can possible have several broken mods.If the problem started after the latest patch/update, always make sure to update your mods when you update your game. Check this list out for some mods that were broken in the C&D-patch! I sort of have the same problem as you except I can play the game without cc. I contacted Tech Support and just got off the line. They say it is a technical issue on their end and they are working to fix it. We don't have to do anything but wait until they fix this issue.

I can't play mine either! I bought Cats & Dogs yesterday as well and I'm having the same issue. Yesterday everything loaded fine but today when I try to play my household from my save ( that was fine yesterday) I'm stuck with infinite loading. I've cleared all my existing caches, cleaned my mod folder, took out my mods, the list goes on but nothing is working out .

I have a bit of the same issue as well. However I did not buy Cats and Dogs and this is happening to me. Once I took my mods and cc out it worked. After putting them back in and even taking some out, I still get the infinite loading screen. Is this still something EA has to fix or is there something we have to do at this point?

These issues are not being caused by your game, but by your CC. Every time there's a patch or game update, there's a chance that your CC may stop working and, essentially, stop your game from functioning normally. You have to find which CC is incompatible with your game and either update it (if there is an update for the newest version) or delete it. I would recommend googling the mods halving method (take out half of your CC & test it by playing the game, rinse, repeat) until you find the CC that no longer works. There could be multiple files causing this.

My game was working fine up until Cats and Dogs came out. I can create characters and stuff but as soon as I try to play a household, I get the infinite loading screen. I dont have any expansion packs or anything, just base game and CC. I disabled the CC, and still I have the infinite loading screen. I have a CC cleaning/fix mod and also tried doing the thing whee tou download sims 4 from a website and chsnge the name to game_ and that didnt work. I contacted someone about it about 3 hours ago and haven’t gotten any responses. Idk it is an error on EA’s part, or if it’s my game but I’m really upset about this.

Well hey, try moving your Tray, Saves, Mods, and optionally your screenshots to your desktop. Then delete the sims 4 folder completely, start a new game and let it regenerate everything. Redo your custom controls and maybe adjust your sim limit then close and save and move all your Tray, Saves, and Mods back in and see what happens. It worked for me and I think once they did the update, the files got corrupted and mixed up a bit so even if you didn't get the EP you might have still gotten messed around.

This happened to me because I had too much custom content or too many mods. I was very scared but then I realised I could delete some old and broken mods. My game is fixed now, when I want to add more CC., I add it gradually.
