sims 4 won’t open

hello i’ve been trying to open sims for about 30 minutes and everytime i try it says “Unable to start: Cannot start because game data is missing or damaged.” then it tells me to remove my Mods and i’ve done that multiple times but i haven’t downloaded any new mods and it was working perfectly fine yesterday. i did remove my mods folder and the game opened but when i add it back it has the same error message pop back up. please help.
