Sims and buildings deleted from the library

Recently i made a bunch of sims for a new save and i uploaded them to my library. I was working on a building when the game closed for the new update (17/03/2026). After the update i re-opened the game and all of the sims and lots i have ever made were gone..

Im not sure if its related to the CC and mods issues that also came with the new update, since i used a los of CC for my sims.

literally. this is really pushing me to stop playing bc im scared to keep investing time in the game when all of my things could just disappear again 😓 i really love this game but fearing every update is really tiring lol they should be supposed to be exciting, not make me sigh from waiting for it to end so i can fix every mod i have

Same! I've been playing The Sims for half of my life and it's one of the things that gives me joy and since this latest update (in which we were all meant to believe that it was a patch to fix a lot of the previous broken update i.e missing lots and houses) it's instead created this other adaption (that no one asked for) and has broken most, if not ALL Sims players beloved mods. I'm quite upset and angry as we all spend a lot of time and love into our creations and we expect things to work efficiently (or what's the point of paying so much for each add on?!) I understand that it's a business but I feel like they aren't listening to their audience at all.

syeombyeol iizzbee  The items that show up in your in-game library are stored in the Tray folder in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  Is this folder empty?  If so, that would explain why your content disappeared.  In that case, please use this guide to missing user files to search for your Tray files:

⚙️[PC] Sims 4 Missing User Content (saves, mods, etc.) | EA Forums - 12636780

The guide also covers files that are present but renamed and therefore can't be read, but things can get complicated when some files are missing and some are not.  So if you're not sure what you're looking at, feel free to post a sample screenshot or two of the Tray files.  Sort the folder by modified date first so all files from a given item are grouped together.

😓😓 im so heartbroken i spend so many hours making them i hope they can fix it quickly

  • After the newest update my entire library is gone. Like everything. And most of the stuff did not involve CC. I tried deleting my mods. And I just spent hours going through my files and trying to figure out how to restore it. Nothing has worked. Please I need this fixed.

  • I tried deleting all my cc and and reloading my files and everything of mine is gone too
