Starrliar That means the problem is something in the old folder. If you have any custom content left over, or you want to reintroduce mods, test those files first in the new folder, and remove anything that makes the game stop working again.
After that, you can copy over the contents of the saves and Tray folders, plus Screenshots and Recorded Videos if you care about those. The rest can be discarded, as the game will regenerate the files where necessary.
