The game shuts down a few seconds after starting

Hello, The Sims4 crashes after a few seconds of playing in Family Mode. it started after the update 1.122.218.1030. I tried different methods to help myself and they didn't help. then I deleted the mods, reinstalled the game and it still didn't help. All my saves still broke, even those I didn't play with mods. Also, when I create a new family in a new save, the error persists.
A week ago, after the game crashed, I got an error file, but now it doesn't appear. What else can I do?

Important: the game crashes not when trying to load the family, but a few seconds after loading the family.
Unfortunately, the game also crashes if I try to play as a different family within this save. The game also crashes if I delete the main family and try to play as a different one
The file with the error (lastexception) does not appear now.
Now the file with the error does not appear, but I still have 2 files with the error from the original problem (I had mods installed at the time, but they've been removed and the game has been reinstalled.)

  • Zetterstrom00  So with the third save, the game still crashes when you try to load into a household?  If that's the case, try loading a different household within that save.

Please also let me know whether you get a lastexception file when you try to load your main household in this save.  The files are in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4.  Best practice is to delete the ones you currently have, then try again to load the household and see whether you get a new one.

Thank you, this helped solve the issue with the game itself crashing. This also helped save 2 out of 3 saves.  How can I now revive the third save?

  • Zetterstrom00  As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
