AZSweets As a test (not a fix), try forcing the game to use the iGPU rather than your Nvidia graphics card. Right-click the desktop, select the Nvidia Control Panel, click Manage 3D Settings > Global settings, and select the integrated graphics option near the top. You'll want to undo this setting later, but for testing purposes, it's the fastest way to find out whether the game runs on the iGPU.
If this doesn't help, let me know what antivirus you use. Either way, if you have any files in ConfigOverride, inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, please remove them and test again.
Hi puzzlezaddict I tried the test you suggested and the game did not start. I undid that setting after the test.
Microsoft Defender Antivirus is the antivirus I use. How do I remove the ConfigOverride file? Do I just delete it?
