This is a first time so let me explain

After the update (Version 1.116.202.1030 DX11 from the bottom of my main screen) my game wouldn't completely load I cant save anything either. I have a new build I was trying to finish but the icons for build mode, gallery, manage world, and the cart are all grayed out. When hovering over them it says game loading in progress... I fell asleep yesterday for almost 3 hours on the pause screen of my family and came back it was the same thing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and reboot the computer thinking something was preventing a load, I disabled mods and reenabled them, nothing worked. I used and unused cheats to just mess around and see what else is wrong and without cheats, its slow, with cheats there are glitches like a person stuck standing with arms and legs out but no head, hands, or feet! I used the fullscreen, windowed, and mixed version. I'm all out of ideas. please help

  • whateva2011  Does this happen with your entire Mods folder removed?  Please test if you haven't already.  Please also let me know whether this happens in a new save, still with no mods or cc.

Still happens… I moved the new family to a new lot… no mods, no cc… I still can’t access those same icons… difference here was I was able to move and they weren’t stuck at first

  • whateva2011  Please test a new household in a new save again, but this time in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet, and don't download sims or a lot from the Gallery; just start a new save and see how it runs.

If this doesn't help either, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
