Update and repair are looping

Hi. Problems started when I tried to update my Sims 4 via EA app with the most recent update. The update said there was "an error" and then the update started looping. It got to about 95%, then start...

manjimaruFIN  Try restarting your computer and deleting the file again.  Make sure the EA App is closed and the EABackgroundService is NOT running in the Task Manager.  You can also try deleting the folder this file is in rather than the file itself.

Whether this works or not, I'd suggest reinstalling Sims 4 into a different location.
