Week 3 of Time Travel event Do Not use Instant Repair to fix the computer!

Week 3 starts with the quest to start the time travel device by using a computer. I did this and it broke the computer. The options were then listed workout an hour, get something to eat and repair the computer. I did the first two and then used instant repair on the broken computer and while it fixed the computer it did not complete the quest. It seems that when they programmed the quest, they did not include instant repair in the quest as an option.

I used the customer support chat function; they said a tech would call me. The man who called was very rude and said they would charge me for fixing the problem and I instantly became suspicious of it as there is no reason EA should charge me to fix the problem they caused. When I would not let him have access to my computer, he was very rude and hung up on me. Now my Sims 4 event is stuck and week three and I have no way to fix it that I know of. 

If anyone knows how to fix it please let me know and someone at EA needs to get their act together in the customer support division as this was just wrong in my opinion.
