Where is the Software Issues Dept.

Sims Okay

Bought EVERY PACK EVER (such a sucker)

and yet still no love.

And Zero Customer service, C'mon I mean Where do you need to go to get some assistance,

we are not asking the world here BUT, I get that the world is asking Electronic Arts for A billion QUESTIONS all the time so can we have GENUINE (A) Person that can define A Question being asked and not some (excellent A.I.) that can not tell if the sky is blue or the sun is red.

Can we have some ASSISTANCE PLEASE.

Or Am ( I ) Asking to much as a person that can tell that the sky is green and the sun is Black.

So my Question Is Why Wont My Game Run (And by the way this has happened on previous Updates And new packs) NOW  I have a theory about relativity. (but that is not the point) but we could Go into the theory as to why the game is preventing privileges and not granting them.

This is my Question why does my download not grant privilege's once downloaded.  

As this will be my only outlet for exploration And many eons later I may find out that theory is in fact true.

My best wishes to whomever gets to this first the theory of relativity is not my thing, but I Guess one would assume that PLAYing the sims EXCLUSE to sims4. is more of a bet that this Is my reason for being HERE not as the reason for me as a being !! being here as a person that just you know wants to play the sims but who am I hmm just a E.A.Player otherwise I would be testing my theory about E.A.

But I must thank you if you got to the end part( not the part about relativity) the part as to why I have taken to leave this message In the not to distant(hoping) future there will be a fix.

    It really is distressing, almost to the point of throwing out my machine,

    really it is far to much and I AM not the person to fix it.

    and have given up to the point yes thousands have been thrown at this game and the return is very little and a lot of grief .

    I Can no longer continue it has been a week and still not able to fix.

    So at some point in the future I may I may not return and see if anything has changed.

    as for e.a.  I can confidently say they have many headaches and one less is not something they will worry about.

  • stewebabe  Just to be clear, when you moved the Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts, did it make any difference?  Were you able to move the folder at all, or did you get an error, and what did it say?

    Your dxdiag lists some generic Windows update errors, so please run a couple of basic checks of your Windows system files:

    • Hit Windows key-X
    • Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
    • Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes, and enter
    • The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
    • After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
    • Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Windows Terminal (Administrator)”
    • Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes, and enter
    • Post the message you receive here


    Restart your computer, hit Windows key-i, select Update & Security, and click the box to check for updates.  If any install, restart again afterwards.

    If this doesn't help, please create a new local admin Windows account.  Here's how:

    The way to make it local is to decline to add an email address; you can eventually choose to "Add a user without a Microsoft account."  Make it an admin account too.  Sign into that account and try to play, and let me know what happens.

    Please also let me know what antivirus you use, if you use anything other than Windows Defender.  Your dxdiag lists a couple of crashes of a component of Defender, and while these are probably not serious, the issue could be a conflict between Defender and a third-party antivirus.

    Sims 4 the new expansion pack life and death,

    is it really going to take the rest of my life to get this pack up and running.

    why does the people let these issues CONSTANTLY give me headaches on a regular basis 

    what do I Do it will not run does not allow me to play the game 

    just keeps looping back to the launch game. does all that then stops

    how am i to get back to the game.

  • stewebabe  This is a player-help-player forum.  I can't do anything about the support side, but if you'd like help trying to get your game running again, please post a screenshot of any error message you see when you try to launch Sims 4.

    Please also let me know whether the game runs in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just see whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.

    If that doesn't work, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

    I agree with you!! ever since switching to the EA app, every single patch update has been hell. 

    over and over! 
    i use the "app recovery"-- "clear the cache"
    use the button over and over.
    not able to download the patch.
    it wont allow me to open the game and play it without the patch.
    i am unable to pay. 
    i have spent a lot of money on this game. it is unacceptable 
    i cant even use the product.
    why cant they fix their products?

      yeah the "help" pages i click through just shuttle you around different pages which none of them help me. 
      why cant i contact a person?? even the help ticket i 
      filed a while ago-- was stuck in a loop 
      "action required"" (i did the "required action") NO response and
      NO assistance.
