Windows Update 25H2 and KB5066835 requires GPU Hotfix released Nov 11

I thought it was just me, but I guess not. Haven't seen this posted yet, feel free to delete if not allowed.

I opened Steam and it launched EA, but EA App hangs with Error: "Things are taking a little longer than usual to load up. Hang tight while we try to solve the problem." (as far as the one time I have tried today!) My PC is OK I guess, a bit sluggish, which I noticed immediately following the update (which conveniently happened after i downloaded DLC, but before I launched it)
A quick reinstall of my current drivers in Device Manager seemed to make it slightly snappier.

Also I noticed C:\ProgramData\EA Desktop\Logs shows dozens of “DLC uninstaller path empty” (?)  and EA App looks like it's rebuilding its “install state” because it sees mismatched registry keys.
Honestly might not matter and could be something I broke though LOL. Who knows.

Anyways, I'm gonna go to brunch, and then clear out all my shader cache or something and try again later. Can share my files if you want, but my intention was mostly just friendly PSA
Will continue troubleshooting what I can for now, and reply here in a bit.

For the "uninstaller path empty" errors, you could be missing (or have deleted) the registry entries that have to do with uninstalling the game.  If you're worried about it, you can do a clean uninstall of Sims 4 with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), which should remove any and all related registry entries it fines; then reinstall knowing you're getting fresh copies of everything.

In general, if you ever think your graphics driver might not be working properly, and rolling back to a previous version (through the Device Manager) doesn't help or isn't feasible, you can DDU the current driver and try an older one that you know worked at the time.  Here's how:

And you can get older drivers here; select Game Ready Driver as the Download Type to go further back:
