[BDK] Upgraded Vacuums Don’t Work Off The Grid

Vacuums (at least, The Dusty Chaperone Upright Vacuum by Suckup Industries) with the Self-Charging Power Cell upgrade (which is supposed to allow the vacuum to function off the grid) don't work off the grid. If you click on the vacuum, either in the world or in your inventory, Vacuum Around is not greyed out, but nothing happens. If you click on the floor with the vacuum in your inventory or in the world, Vacuum Lightly is greyed out because "power doesn't work off the grid."

I am still having this problem. I do not want to disable my dust system, I have to click my home back on the grid long enough to vaccum. no mods all packs, new pc

I am experiencing this problem too and don't want to disable the dust system.
My sim upgraded the Dusty Chaperone Upright Vacuum by SuckUp Industries. With the vacuum in her inventory there is no option on the floor to vacuum but if the vacuum is out of her inventory, I can click on the vacuum to 'vacuum around' but my sim just places the vacuum back in her inventory and that's the end of the animation.

I have the same issue. The off the grid function really needs to be fixed. It's so buggy and really frustrating to play with. It was such a cool feature when released and I hate that I can never play with it because of all the issues with it.
For fixing the bugs purposes, it seems I have the option to vacuum off the grid with the update when the vacuum is place on the lot, as soon as it goes into my sims inventory it no longer has the option or works. Which means no vacuuming off the grid, as the vacuum needs to be in your sims inventory to actually use it.
