When you visit a sim's house/small business lot, you "have" the option to visit the sims or the businness, whether I visit the sims from the phone, or by clicking on the house when I am in the neighborhood, it puts me as a customer, so I cannot visit the sims or go into the residential areas. I even tried to break into a small business owner's house and the game crashed. This isnt a one time thing either, it's been going on probably since Businesses and Hobbies launched, and it affects more than one save if not all.
