Bought upgrade parts and dyes not recognized to upgrade/create something

Yes! It's whenever my Sims make the parts or buy the parts. I've been playing on a fresh save on a fresh game today, and I noticed that if they obtained the part from "tinker with the robotic station" (or whatever the wording of that action is), or from repairing objects, then the game would recognise the parts. But if they made/bought the part, then the game would not recognise the parts, and the number would reset to zero on the "parts needed". (meaning if I had 2 common upgrade parts, and the action required 3, the game would say "2/3 common upgrade parts" OR "1 common upgrade part needed". If I bought the third part, or made the part, it would reset to "0/3 common upgrade parts" OR "3 common upgrade parts needed". This applies to all upgrade parts and robotic parts (including things like the computer chips).

it's indeed very odd.

I also can buy upgrade parts on your save. Tested all the Sims in your household.

Going to put this on review anyways as there's been a few reports now. 

The game isn't recognizing when items are in my sims inventory when trying to make other items. Example: My sim makes a bunch of components and upgrade materials to make a servo but when I get to the robotics table it says my sim has none of the materials.

That's weird, as the dyes are still not showing up even on a fresh, new, repaired game, with nothing of my old game transferred over. Now I can't even buy upgrade parts, the option isn't there (new sim has level 5 handiness, so it should be there)

And yes, last time I did just put my saves back, but it seems that even that isn't the issue. Maybe it's my laptop? but thats new(ish). It's a MacBook Air M4 2025, with no other problems. So I don't really know what's going on

I can't duplicate the issue on your save either 

To be sure, when you tried a clean folder, you did just put the save back, nothing else ?

ok after playing for about half an hour, it went back to not recognising the parts in my inventory for all parts and dyes. 

im also having the problem of there being no "order/purchase parts" from a computer that katieleahclark​ mentioned

i followed that tutorial, and the new game worked. Then I moved over my saves according to the instructions, and the problem reappeared, so it must be something in my saves :(. However, in the brand new save in the new game, i was still having issues with the dye. 

katieleahclark​ I merged your post with the dye issue but could you please create a separate report for the upgrade parts not being available. Make sure you are on your home lot and click throught the more choices menu to make sure it's really missing.

Tested this on my game and bought some dye.
