EA has implemented a non-fix for this. This means that the items are no invisible (most of them) but still there. The overlapping festivals seem fixed but the objects are not....
Ideas
Other affected objects are
poop, puddles, spawner (e.g. stones, frogs), plants, fruites, flowers (from neighborhoods). In Grim's Quarry and Conifer Station I had a lot of soybeans and soy plants in the ZoneObjetData of my apartments.
Haven't seen a spawner being added to ZoneObjectData other then the snowglobes but I didn't test many other hoods.
Plants can be any kind.

This is part of what I found in one of my RRs in Oasis Springs. My monitor is limited so there is more when scrolling and that' s only Chrysanthemum.
The ZoneObjectData for only this single RR dropped from 7.7 MB to 0.58 MB after cleaning. The complete Save file decreased from 64MB to 34MB. Because of this bloating of some ZoneObjectData sometimes neighborhoods couldn't be loaded.
I also forgot to mention: cradleObject_GENBook These are those books floating in the air.
I think it also happen to wild prairie grass placed in the world of Chestnut ridge. Once you approach those patches of grass, the game lag severely and if you harvest them, it will just be almost infinite harvest... I got up to 99+ prairies grass and had so many nectars etc...
