[CONSOLE] Cheats menu getting stuck

I didn't think about attaching a keyboard to my PS4. I might have to. This just started a couple nights ago for me, and it's crazy.

When I type in the "cas.fulleditmode" cheat, I get stuck in the cheat bar. The only way to get out of this is to press the menu button and select "Manage Worlds" and then navigate back to the family from there.

I believe this is happening simply due to trying to type in a cheat at all, not even just necessarily the CAS edit cheat. But I can't properly use that particular cheat even after attempting this, so something is going on.

This happened to me too I have done the exact same things you have done and getting no where hope it gets sorted soon

Whenever I enter a cheat the window becomes impossible to close and I have to go to manage world or exit the game to get rid of it. I tried the close button or tried to enter another cheat but it would let me do anything aside opening the menu.

I’m having the same issue on Xbox series Xs. It’s absolutely bull**bleep**. FIX THE **bleep**ING GAME. STOP ADDING NEW **bleep**, WE DONT WANT A VACATION PACK WE WANT THE GAME TO **bleep**ING WORK

Mine just started this today on PS5. Been playing a couple days straight after a good break, just got some of the newer packs. Everything was good and then the game starts freezing on the cheat screen every few uses. So, mine hasn’t gotten as bad as others who are experiencing it every time, still annoying.

At first I thought it was some off shoot problem from a new tattoo I downloaded from the gallery (since people are still loading CC tatts for consoles) but, seeing as the problem is kind of widespread I doubt that’s the root of the issue now.

I've been having persistent issues with The Sims 4 recently, and it's really starting to affect my gameplay experience. Every time I open the cheat bar, the game freezes on that screen and becomes unresponsive. I’m unable to use any other functions—it just stays locked. The only way I’ve found to save any progress is by exiting to the "Manage Worlds" screen, which is frustrating and time-consuming.

The problem gets even worse when I try to enter Create-a-Sim (CAS) mode, especially when I use the cas.fulleditmodecheat. In this mode, the screen often freezes completely. I can't move my Sim, click on different features to edit, or make any changes. And unlike the cheat bar issue, there's no way to save progress—I’m forced to completely close the game, which causes me to lose everything I've worked on.

These issues have been happening repeatedly, and it's become very discouraging. I haven’t been able to make any real progress in the game for a while because of these recurring freezes.

This is only happening to me in a household with an infant or toddler. It's only cheats requiring testingcheats true. It doesn't happen if I'm just using MOO. The only thing I can do is exit to Manage Worlds and remove testingcheats then go back to the household. I'm on Xbox Series X with all content installed. The cheat menu goes white and won't close. Each time it's happened it's because I'm trying to add skills or traits to a parent but I can't because the screen is frozen. It's fine on other households, it's just households with very young children.

Update: this seems to be causing other menus to freeze too until I have to exit the game. With testingcheats on and moo/debug cheats active it causes the option to buy toys through the pet toy boxes to to freeze the game and the screen greys out. I have to exit to Manage Worlds and return. Tested this with and without and it's only happening with testingcheats on.

It's also freezing CAS. Using cas.fulleditmode stops everything from responding. I click the weight slider and everything freezes. There's no stuck menu for this but everything is unresponsive in the same way. All I can do is restart my console.

Sames. Started happening today, did anything ever work for you?
