Game freezes when getting married

I have this SAME problem and I play on Xbox. Whenever I try to have my sims elope the time freezes on the game and my sims don’t move. The game itself doesn’t freeze because I’m able to go to the menu and go to manage worlds but I’m not able to do anything with my sims at all.

I am also experiencing issues with game freezing after last patch. I have removed all mods, repaired my game, deleted saves and I am still experiencing the game and time freeze while I can still hit play, x2, xx3 with no effect. I cannot exit the game without force shutting it down. 

I am having this same issue with and without mods. I have tried it with the base game, wedding stories and with mods. I have even tried to marry them in CAS and by chatting spouse through UI cheats and every time it freezes the game.

I will try this right now! For me it also seems to be a problem with mccc. But sometimes it also happens when no mods are in my game....

Same issue here. Game "freezes" when Sims try to get married -- either eloping immediately or at a wedding venue or through a customized event; with AND without mods, and without any kind of last exception or official crash logs.

I'm having this same problem, with and without mods. I've tried all of the possible solutions listed here as well and none of them work. game freezes during "elope" and I have to ctrl alt del to shut it down. Load times are crazy long too!

any idea when this bug will be fixed?  TIA

This issue is still happening, I’ve been playing this game for 6+ years now, and usually problems like this are fixed pretty quickly so why not this one?? It’s about to be March and we’ve yet to get any kind of actual fix, please fix the game, ive put so much money into it over the years, this is ridiculous and honestly just very sad for all of us..
